Outpatient Radiology Scottsbluff Marks Year-End Milestone After Opening in April
Outpatient Radiology Scottsbluff (OPR-S) is thrilled to announce a successful 2024 after opening its doors in May. The facility is the proud home of a specialized, board-certified, and fellowship-trained radiologist and registered technologists who prioritize patient care while delivering high-quality imaging services, including MRI, Ultrasound, CT, Mammograms, DEXA, and X-ray. When OPR-S first opened its doors earlier this year, owners and staff had one goal in mind: to keep patients in Nebraska by offering exceptional imaging services at a lower cost.
“Ultimately, we want people to know they can stay close to home while receiving the imaging services they need. We work with all local and regional provider offices and can send results based on the patient’s preference. We don’t want patients to travel out of town when they really don’t need to. OPR-S is designed to keep care in Western Nebraska AND provide exceptional imaging that is accessible and affordable so people don’t deal with travel inconvenience to receive the high-quality care they need and deserve at a much lower cost. That’s why we opened our doors,” says Levi Keener MHA BSRT, OPR-S Clinical Operations Manager.
Within the approximate eight months that OPR-S has been open, the facility has earned several American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditations including Mammography, MRI, and CT. Being an ACR-accredited facility means OPR-S took voluntary steps to meet the ACR’s high standards for safe, high-quality imaging. The ACR accreditation is not required, but rather a choice by any given imaging facility to let patients and referring partners know they provide the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
“By voluntarily seeking this accreditation, we can keep ourselves accountable to deliver patient care and imaging services that exceed expectations so when you come to our facility or refer your patients here, you can trust that our imaging is not only exceptionally safe but of the highest quality,” says Keener.
Along with earning these accreditations, OPR-S also welcomed Scottsbluff native, Dr. Michael Yung, to their team. With specialized expertise in musculoskeletal imaging and a passion for comprehensive women’s imaging, Dr. Yung brings 15 years of experience and sub-specialty training to OPR-S, ensuring patients receive superior imaging and diagnostic services they can trust from a local radiologist.
“I’m excited to be able to provide excellent outpatient imaging services to the patients in the region. We are fortunate to have the newest technology in all modalities including MRI, Mammo, CT and ultrasound as well as the best technologists in the region to do the scans. Because we are often able to get patients in sooner and at more economical prices, we give patients a local option for top-tier outpatient imaging that can lead to quicker treatment times and better patient care,” says Dr. Yung.
Not only are all patient exams interpreted by Dr Yung, along with support from highly skilled partners at Casper Medical Imaging, but OPR-S made it a priority to ensure patients have accessible medical imaging at an affordable price compared to other out-of-state facilities. The team prioritizes each patient by individualizing care, offering lower wait times, close parking, convenient appointments, exceptional customer service, and easy access to a patient portal so patients have more control of their care. Plus, OPR-S offers convenient, same-day services and walk-in X-rays at a lower cost.
After serving over 1,000 patients in Western Nebraska since opening in April 2024, Outpatient Radiology Scottsbluff looks forward to reminding western Nebraskans that they have a choice for their imaging needs in 2025 and beyond.
