A recent study from the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology found that symptoms caused by osteoarthritis in the knee can be relieved for up to two years through Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE). The study highlights that GAE, a minimally invasive procedure performed by interventional radiologists to reduce blood flow to the knee’s lining, is a safe and effective treatment option for pain, stiffness, swelling, and other symptoms of knee osteoarthritis.
