Dr. Gerdes completed medical school at Creighton University. He completed his internal medicine internship and diagnostic radiology residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, where he was also chief resident and completed his MRI fellowship at University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Dr. Gerdes completed medical school at Creighton University. He completed his internal medicine internship and diagnostic radiology residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, where he was also chief resident and completed his MRI fellowship at University of Wisconsin at Madison. Prior to joining CMI, Dr. Gerdes spent 14 years at Baylor Scott and White as an abdominal radiologist teaching residents and medical students with a clinical appointment at Texas AM medical school.
When not working, Dr. Gerdes spends time with his wife and daughter in Austin, TX where he lives full-time. He enjoys running, traveling, and spending time at the shooting range. Dr. Gerdes also enjoys taking in the live music scene in Austin.
